1. The quality of heat treatment of aluminum extrusion die directly affects the service life of the extrusion die. The die is quenched and tempered many times to meet the hardness requirements. Quenching is to improve the hardness of the mold, and multiple tempering is to improve the toughness of the mold and stabilize the internal structure. The hardness value of the mold heat treatment is specified:
Large aluminum extrusion die (F>500mm),HRC45-48 mm; Medium mold (F300~500mm),HRC47-50 mm; Small extrusion die (F<300mm),HRC48-51 mm; Three points shall be detected on the same plane of a set of dies, and the hardness value of each point shall be within the specified range.
2, extrusion mold heat treatment process should pay special attention to a few points:
A, high temperature section heating speed should be fast, heat preservation time should not be too long, in order to prevent the extrusion die from burning or overheating, overheating-coarse grains, burning-low melting point elements and inclusions to dissolve;
B, aluminum extrusion die quenching to timely tempering, to prevent cracks;
C, extrusion die after heat treatment found that the hardness is not enough or uneven hardness, should be annealed, according to the process of heat treatment (when the hardness value
D, the large aluminum extrusion mold or cavity complex finished mold should be added to a stress tempering process (eliminate electrical processing, machining stress, that is, eliminate thermal stress and tissue stress);
E, mold quenching oil temperature should be? 100°C, to ensure the quenching effect.
